Drawn from the classic Soviet repertoire, the films below, mostly focused on the Russian revolution, but also touching on the revolution in Cuba, will be screened on Monday evenings over the course of a month, with an introduction and post-film discussion to accompany each one.

The films: Eisenstein, Battleship Potemkin (1925); Shub, The Fall of the Romanov Dynasty (1927); Pudovkin, The End of St Petersburg (1927); Askoldov, The Commissar (1967); Kalatozov, I Am Cuba (1964); and Alea, Memories of Underdevelopment (USA, 1968).
